ABOUT RORY

Rory Scholl is a working comic and writer. He has written for corporate clients such JC Penny, Michaels Arts and Crafts, and more. He has toured with improv companies such as Comedysportz, The Peoples Improv Theater, and Chicago City Limits. 

Rory is a former a MOTH storyslam winner. He has written stories for the RISK podcast and has produced and hosted New York City’s longest running storytelling show, The Liar Show.

He is the award-winning writer of Black Sheep, which held the number one spot in humor on Amazon for over six weeks before being usurped by Trevor Noah. 

Rory had his Off-Broadway debut in Claudia Rankine’s HELP at The Shed. His original musical "The Thanksgiving Scarecrow" will be out this November in podcast form with a hilarious cast of New York comics. Rory is currently working on his new book.

In addition to being an active NYC storytelling performer, Rory was also the lead guitarist in the underground storytelling band The BTK, working with the likes of Mara Wilson and Adam Wade.
