Get Schooled in Comedy

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
To take a class at Manhattan Comedy School
— A Prayer In Spring, By Robert Frost

The Stand-Up Comedy: Level 1 class with Karen Bergreen begins Monday, May 4th, so register this second. This class meets in Manhattan, every Monday for six weeks from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., all on a Springtime’s delicate eve. In addition, you’ll participate in a graduation performance (date to be announced) on the professional stage at Gotham Comedy Club.

You also have the choice of joining the Stand-Up Comedy: Beginner Level 1 class at Levity Live in West Nyack, NY. Led by Kerri Louise, it starts Wednesday, May 6th, meets every week for six weeks, and also includes a graduation performance at an established comedy club.  Register as soon as humanly possible!

Both instructors are proven professionals with years of performing and writing under their belts. Under Karen or Kerri’s guidance, you’ll learn how to write a joke, create an original set, develop stage presence, and more. As a result, you’ll polish your performance and build your confidence–invaluable skills whether you’re an entertainer or you appear in public in a professional setting.

MCS classes offer you the unique opportunity to perform live for six consecutive weeks, all  while getting direct feedback from a working comic. You’ll hone your talents in a variety of ways, and be able to put your newfound skills to use in any number of areas of your life.
